Two men were injured in separate shootings on the South Side this evening, officials said.
In the first shooting, a 26-year-old man was in serious-to-critical condition after being shot on the 6300 block of South Carpenter Street in the Englewood neighborhood, police said.
The man was shot two to three times on the right side of his body at about 6:55 p.m. and was taken to Stroger Hospital, police and fire officials said.

In the second shooting, a person was shot near the intersection of 64th Street and Wolcott Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood where a man was shot at 7:10 p.m., officials said.
The man was also in serious-to-critical condition and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment. His age was unavailable.
