Man shot in the head on the South Side- UPDATE DOA

A 20-year-old man was shot in the Lake Meadows neighborhood on the South Side this evening.
The shooting happened at about 8:20 p.m. on the 3100 block of South Rhodes.
The man was shot in the head,.
The man was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital
Torri Stewart, of the 900 block of East 81st Street, was shot in the head

Carjackers shoot man, take Volkswagen

A 25-year-old man was shot in the ear Tuesday night during a carjacking in the Lake Meadows neighborhood on the South Side.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
Police say the man had been walking toward a silver 2013 Volkswagen Jetta at about 9:30 p.m. with another man, the Jetta’s owner, when two males approached.
The alleged assailants took the car keys from the Jetta’s owner, shot the 25-year-old and drove off before authorities arrived. The Jetta’s owner was not injured.
