Shootings in Chicago November 9, 2013

48-year-old man shot on the Mag Mile
The 48-year-old man was in his vehicle when he was shot in the back in the 100 block of East Superior Street about 11 p.m.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition had stabilized
Police said the Frisco, Texas man, a guest in a hotel in the 200 block East Walton Street, told officers he was driving a rented 2014 Jeep Patriot at Superior Street and Michigan Avenue when he heard his driver’s side rear window shatter. At first, he thought someone knocked out his window and he fled, going northbound on Michigan Avenue.
The hotel valet parked the vehicle and once he got into his room, he found his t-shirt was “wet and full of blood’’ and realized he was shot on the left side of his chest and his left rear shoulder.  He notified the front desk clerk and police and an ambulance came to the hotel.
24-year-old shot in Galewood
At about 6:15 p.m. in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side, a 24-year-old male suffered a graze wound to the head during another shooting in the 2100 block of North Mulligan Avenue
23 year old man shot in Chatham
A man shot in the chest about 11:50 p.m. in the city's East Chatham neighborhood.
The victim, 23, was standing on a sidewalk in the 900 block of East 82nd Street when two males approached him on foot and fired shots at him. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where’ his condition had stabilized
Man shot in Gresham
In the city’s Gresham neighborhood about 8:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of South Union Avenue, someone shot a male in the leg. The victim, whose age was not available, was taken in serious to critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn
2 shot in West Pullman
On the Far South Side’s West Pullman neighborhood about 8:20 p.m., someone shot two males in 300 block of West 119th Street. One victim suffered a graze wound to the abdomen while the second was shot in the right arm
49-year-old man shot during robbery attempt in South Deering
About 4:15 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of East 107th Street in the Trumbull Park neighborhood on the Far South Side, a 49-year-old man was shot in the leg during an armed robbery attempt, police said. The victim was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital where his condition was stabilized.

Shootings in Chicago October 26, 2013

17-year-old boy shot in Rogers Park
A  teenager riding a bike was injured when someone jumped out of a car in the Uptown neighborhood near Harry S. Truman College and shot him.
Police were called to the scene in the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue about 7:15 p.m. and found a 17-year-old boy shot in the left knee. The victim was taken to advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was in good condition.
The teen was riding his bike west on Wilson Avenue when a vehicle pulled up and someone got out and started shooting at him. After the shooting, the attacker fled on foot
17-year-old boy and his 53-year-old man shot in Galewood
A 17-year-old boy and his 53-year-old uncle were shot in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side this morning.
About 3:10 a.m., someone firing a gun chased the 17-year-old into a backyard in the 2100 block of North Mulligan Avenue.
A bullet struck the teen in the lower back, critically injuring him. Another traveled through a door or a window and hit the boy's 53-year-old uncle, who was in his bed
The uncle was struck in the leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition. His nephew was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in critical condition.
18-year-old woman shot in Heart of Chicago
At about 3:50 a.m., an 18-year-old woman was shot in the Near West Side's Heart of Chicago neighborhood . The woman was shot in the leg and taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where she was listed in good condition.
16-year-old boy shot in Englewood
About 9:15 p.m. Friday night, a shooter walked up to a 16-year-old boy and opened fire in the 6600 block of South Bell Avenue on the South Side. The boy was struck in the buttocks and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.

25-year-old man shot in South Deering
A 25-year-old man standing in the 2400 block of East 107th Street in South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side was shot about 7:50 p.m. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a wound to the buttocks.
15-year-old boy shot in West Pullman
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the hand in a drive-by attack about 11:50 p.m. in the 0-100 block of East 115th Street in the West Pullman neighborhood. He was taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition.
Man shot in West Pullman
A man in his 20s, was shot in the right leg about 12:40 a.m. Monday in the 11900 block of South Stewart Avenue in the West Pullman neighborhood.
Man shot in Galewood
A man whose age wasn't available was shot in the leg about 1:05 a.m. near Grand and Melvina avenues in the Galewood neighborhood
 18-year-old man shot in Back of the Yards
At about 12:20 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot on the 2000 block of West Garfield Boulevard in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
The man sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and lower extremities, officials said. He was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He was in serious condition

28-year-old man shot in Galewood

Someone inside a dark car or truck shot a 28-year-old man about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the Galewood neighborhood. The drive-by shooting left the man in stable condition at West Suburban Medical Center with a wound to his thigh.

Shootings in Chicago Jan. 30- 31, 2013

 19-year-old and 37-year old shot in Austin
The 19-year-old and 37 year old in Austin were in a car in the 5000 block of West Madison Street when someone approached on foot and started shoot The pair drove to a “residence” in the 1500 block of North Long Avenue and police were called. The older man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with multiple gunshot wounds and the younger man, shot in the leg, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center.
 Man shot in Little Italy/University Village
A  man in his 30s was shot and found in the 1200 block of South Racine Avenue, outside the ABLA-Roberts Brooks Homes housing complex in the University Village / Little Italy neighborhood.Police responded to a single call of a person shot and found the man shot in the leg about 2:45 a.m.
56-year-old man shot in Galewood
On the Northwest Side about 10:45 p.m., a 56-year-old man was shot in the head in what police first believed to be an attempted suicide. He was shot in the 1800 block of North Natchez Avenue in the Galewood neighborhood. Detectives later determined that someone had shot the man, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. He's at Loyola hospital
23-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
A 23-year-old man was shot in the leg and groin in the 3400 block of West Walnut Street just before 8 p.m. in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. He was on a porch when three men, one with a gun, approached and told him and one other person not to move.
They moved, and one of the three shot the 23-year-old, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and he’s in good condition.

 43-year-old man shot in Gresham
At about 9 p.m. a 43-year-old man was shot by another person inside a silver car in the 8500 block of South Hermitage Avenue in the Gresham neighborhood. He’s in stable condition at Little Company of Mary Hospital.

Man shot in Galewood

 A man in his 20s was found shot in the 6000 block of West Wabansia Avenue in the Galewood neighborhood on the Northwest Side about 11 p.m. Saturday, police said. He was shot near the intersection of Menard Avenue and North Avenue, and police believe he walked to the place where he was found

A man in his 20s found in the 6000 block of West Wabansia Avenue in the Galewood neighborhood wouldn't tell police where he was shot. Police found him just before 11 p.m., and believe he walked a few blocks from where he was shot.

42-year-old man shot in Galewood neighborhood

In the Galewood neighborhood on the city's Northwest Side a 42-year-old man was inside a tattoo shop in the 1600 block of North Mobile Avenue, when a male and female entered at about 11 p.m. Tuesday. The male pulled a handgun and opened fire, striking the victim multiple times.
The victim was Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood and was expected to survive his wounds
