16-year-old killed in West Woodlawn

The fatal shooting happened about 11:20 p.m. in a basement unit of a two-story tan brick building in the 6200 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue on the South Side.
During a gathering inside the apartment, a 16-year-old boy and his girlfriend began arguing. Another male intervened, and he and the 16-year-old began fighting
The male who intervened left the apartment but returned soon after and shot the 16-year-old in the chest.
The boy was talking but in critical condition when first responders arrived on the scene. He was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 12:05 a.m

Cops warn of sexual assault in Woodlawn neigborhood

Police issued a community alert this afternoon warning a man who sexually assaulted a teen at knifepoint this week in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood.
About noon Tuesday, the teen was walking on the 6200 block of South University Avenue when she was approached by a man who pulled out a large kitchen-type knife and sexually assaulted her.
The attacker was described as a black man who is 19 to 20 years of age. He is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He was wearing  a dark knit hat, a dark coat, a dark scarf and dark pants. He also was wearing web-textured Timberland boots

33-year-old man shot in woodlawn

In West Woodlawn, a 33-year-old man was shot about 4:25 p.m.
The man was on the street in the 400 block of East 63rd Street when someone came up to him and shot at the man several times, police said. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks and a graze wound to the neck, and was treated at St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center.

42-year-old man shot dead in Woodlawn

About 1:10 a.m., a 42-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in the 700 block of East 67th Street in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
Police responding to reports of gunshots found the man lying in an alley, bleeding from multiple gunshots to abdomen. He was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and pronounced dead at 2:10 a.m.
The man was identified as Michael Turner, of the 9400 block of South Eberhart Avenue

Woman tried to throw Molotov cocktail at family

A Woodlawn neighborhood woman's son foiled her attempt Saturday to throw a Molotov cocktail at her sister's minivan.
Colette Rudolph, 34, tried to toss the gas-filled bottle at the car, which was parked in the 6200 block of South Langley Avenue and contained her 37-year-old sister and others.
Before the Molotov cocktail could reach the vehicle, though, Rudolph's 15-year-old son jumped in front of her and slapped it away.
During the incident, Rudolph told the car's passengers, "I got something for all you bitches".
Rudolph, of the 6100 block of South Langley Avenue, has been charged with attempted arson and possession of an explosive or incendiary device.

Woman shot to death in car at Woodlawn gas station


A woman was found shot to death in a vehicle at a Woodlawn neighborhood gas station this evening. The woman, age 24, was found shot in a vehicle about 5:56 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Stony Island Avenue. The woman was pronounced dead at 6:53 p.m. at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital.
The shooter was believed to have fled in a vehicle also

20-year-old man in wheelchair shot in Woodlawn


A 20-year-old man in a wheelchair was shot in the 1100 block of East 58th Street. A friend was pushing him when someone he knew walked up and shot him in the knee, police said. He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center in good condition.

Man shot in Woodlawn
A man was shot multiple times and seriously injured this afternoon on the South Side in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 4:18 p.m. on the 6100 block of South Kimbark Avenue.
The man, 20, was reportedly shot several times in his leg. He was taken in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital
19-year-old In Golden Gate Park
On city's Far South Side about 7:15 p.m. on the 13100 block of South Langley Avenue, a 19-year-old man was shot in the leg and reportedly in good condition
33-year-old man shot during robbery in Austin
In  a shooting in the Austin neighborhood on the city's West Side, a 33-year-old man was shot during a robbery about 12:05 a.m.
The victim was on a sidewalk when he was confronted by three attackers who pulled a handgun and robbed the man of cash before they shot him in the mouth in the 5500 block of West Huron Street.
The victim’s brother took him to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park but he was transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where his condition had stabilized
24-year-old man shot in West Pullman
In  the West Pullman neighborhood at 11:30 p.m. a 24-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the forearm in the 11500 block of South Racine Avenue. The victim declined to be taken to a hospital after the Far South Side shooting
15-year-old boy shot in Logan Square
At 10 p.m. in the Logan Square neighborhood a 15-year-old boy was walking in an alley in the 3200 block of West Wabansia Avenue when several males shouted gang slogans at him before firing shots, hitting the boy in the left leg. He was taken to Stroger where his condition had stabilized, and the shooting is gang related
24-year-old man shot in Park Manor
A  24-year-old man was shot Saturday night in the Park Manor neighborhood on the city's South Side. Someone shot the man in the buttocks in the 400 block of East 73rd Street about 9:30 p.m.

Felon denied bail in South Side shooting

A 23-year-old man who was on probation for a fraud conviction was denied bail today for a Friday shooting on the South Side.
Abdulai Habib of the 1500 block of East 61st Street was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a weapon by a felon.
Prosecutors said Habib, who was on probation for a fraud conviction, shot an acquaintance about 9 p.m. Friday on the same block where he lives. 
When police went to arrest Habib at his home, they found a 25-caliber semi-automatic handgun as well as fraudulent material and phony identification cards in his home

 21-year-old man shot in Austin
About 2 a.m. in the 300 block of North Central Avenue in the city’s Austin neighborhood, a 21-year-old man who police said was a gang member went to visit his girlfriend and was standing outside of the Austin Station Apartments when a someone from a rival gang ran up to him and fired multiple times.
The victim was shot several times in the left leg and collapsed between two cars parked in the front of the building.
He was taken in “stable” condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
Police said two bullets hit and shattered the rear window of one of the cars while another pieced the window of a residence across the street, southeast of the shooting scene. No one inside the home was hit
 24-year-old man shot in Avondale
At 10:50 p.m. in the 3300 block of North Whipple Street in the Avondale neighborhood, a 24-year-old man was walking on a sidewalk when a dark colored SUV passed and someone inside fired shots, hitting the man in the right arm. He was taken in good condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
Man shot in Woodlawn
A bout 9 p.m. Friday a man showed up at University of Chicago Hospitals with a gunshot wound to the buttocks that he suffered in the 1400 block of East 61st Street in the city’s Woodlawn neighborhood.
An investigation revealed the victim had been shot by a friend of his, by accident, as they were watching movies with two other people and playing with the gun.
The victim was struck in the left inner thigh and the bullet lodged in his left buttock. He was later transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was good

The crash happened about 2:26 a.m.,.

2 teens charged in South Side man's killing

Two teenagers have been charged in the slaying of a man shot to death in the West Woodlawn neighborhood this week after an apparent drug deal.
Kiarunn Bailey, 16, and Marquis Ceazer, 18, are charged in the slaying of Phillip Henderson, 27, Monday morning. Bailey, who prosecutors say admitted shooting Henderson to death. Bailey is charged as an adult.
Henderson was shot in the 600 block of East 62nd Street a little before 10 a.m. on Monday.
Two witnesses were sitting in a car near 62nd Street and Champlain Avenue when they saw Bailey and Ceazer walk past, then cross the street to where Henderson was standing.
One of the teens gave Henderson money, and Henderson gave that teen a small item. Ceazer then grabbed Henderson, pulled out a gun with his other hand and began to fight with Henderson.
Henderson and Ceazer fell to the ground, the gun dropped from Ceazer’s hand and Bailey picked it up and began waving it and reaching for Henderson. At least one of the witnesses saw Bailey fire a shot, then aim at Henderson after Ceazer got away from Henderson.
The witnesses drove away, and one witness heard three shots. One of them called 911, and when the witnesses returned to the scene, Bailey and Ceazer had left, and Henderson was lying on the ground shot.
Henderson suffered five gunshot wounds, in the back and leg. Henderson, of the 6200 block of South Langley Avenue, was declared dead at 10:38 a.m. Monday at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
Bailey was arrested after being identified in a photo lineup, and then was identified in a physical lineup. He admitted to investigators that he shot Henderson multiple times,

A  man was shot to death in the West Woodlawn neighborhood this morning.
Phillip Henderson, 27, of the 6200 block of South Langley Avenue, was declared dead at 10:38 a.m. at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook county after being shot in the 600 block of East 62nd Street.
Henderson was standing on the street when a man or boy came up to him and shot him in the chest

 39-year-old man shot in Lawndale
Earlier Saturday, a 39-year-old man was shot in the 1600 block of South Karlov Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood. He had been shot after an argument with another man about 3 p.m., police said. He's in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
34-year-old man shot in Ravenswood Manor
A shooting in the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood about 10 p.m. left a 34-year-old man wounded. The man was approached by four others in the 4700 block of North Sacramento Avenue and one fired, striking him in his lower right leg. His condition has stabilized at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
Man shot in Gresham
Early Sunday morning, about 4:50 a.m., a man in his 40s was shot in the 8000 block of South Loomis Boulevard in the Gresham neighborhood. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a wound to his shoulder.
Man shot in Woodlawn
A  man believed to be 24-years-old was wounded this afternoon in a shooting on the South Side in the city's Woodlawn neighborhood.
The man was shot about 3:44 p.m. in the 600 block of East 67th Street.
The man suffered a gunshot wound to his thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized

36-year-old man shot in South Shore
Around 9:45 p.m., a 36-year-old man standing on a sidewalk in the Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood was shot in the back by someone inside a silver four-door sedan.
The shooting happened near 69th Street and Jeffery Boulevard. The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was stable

29-year-old man shot in Englewood
A  29-year-old man was shot in the hip in Englewood. The man driving an SUV south on Halsted Street when he was shot at 67th Street. He stopped at 69th Street and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
3 people shot in Chatham
In the West Chatham neighborhood, a man was shot and two other people struck with shards of glass around 10:55 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Lafayette Avenue.
One man was shot in the hip and shoulder and taken to Stroger Hospital. The two people hit by flying glass were taken in good condition to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center.

 35-year-old man shot in Humboldt Park
At about 4:15 p.m., a 35-year-old man shot in the abdomen and bicep walked into Norwegian-American Hospital. He told police he had been shot in the 3800 block of West Grand Avenue.
25-year-old man was shot in  LeClaire Courts
Just before 1 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the upper part of his leg or his groin in the LeClaire Courts neighborhood on the Southwest Side. Police found the man in an alley in the 4500 block of South Lawler Avenue
22-year-old man shot in Longwood Manor
A  22-year-old man was shot about 9:40 p.m. in the 900 block of West 96th Street in the Longwood Manor neighborhood. The man was driving eastbound when someone in a black SUV fired into his vehicle. He was hit in the buttocks and shoulder after crashing into a pole and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized
20 year old man shot in Hermosa
A man, 20, was shot in the Hermosa neighborhood about 8:40 p.m. Police said the 20-year-old, who was shot in the 1800 block of North Keeler Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a wound to his leg and groin.
28-year-old man shot in Humboldt Park
In  the city's West Humboldt Park neighborhood, a 28-year-old man was standing on the street in the 1100 block of North Keystone Avenue when a van pulled up and a passenger fired shots, hitting him in the buttocks. Paramedics found him a short distance away and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition
Man shot in Chatham
At 1:30 p.m. in the Chatham neighborhood, someone shot a man in his 20s in the back in the 8000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. The man, who was shot twice, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition
23-year-old man shot by Police in Woodlawn
In a police shooting early this morning, police working in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side heard gunfire, drove toward it and found a 23-year-old man shooting a handgun toward others.
The shooting happened about 2:10 a.m. near the intersection of 63rd Street and King Drive and the man police shot was taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Patrol officers working the Violence Reduction Initiative were patrolling when they saw a person shooting at an unknown target.
The officers got out of their car and announced their office but the man turned toward police with the gun, so they opened fire, said Camden, the spokesman for the Fraternal Order of Police.
Officers fired when the man turned toward them with the weapon raised.
The man ran after the officers fired and turned two more times toward police with the gun still in his hand, Camden said. It wasn't until the third time that he turned that the officers hit him, in the leg.
The man ran into a nearby apartment, where he was found, Camden said. Police blocked all four points of access to the intersection and brought a light truck to the scene to help search for evidence. 
Police collected a 9-millimeter handgun as evidence, Camden said. No officers were injured
2 men shot in wicker Park
At about 11:23 p.m. Friday night during an argument in Wicker Park in the 1400 block of N. Damen Avenue, a 35-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition and a 25-year-old was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. 
Police said both men had documented gang affiliations and long criminal histories.
Man shot in Back of the Yards
At about 4:02 a.m., a man was shot in the mouth and is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. Someone shot him near Garfield Boulevard and Western Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood
18-year-old man shot in Little Village
An 18-year-old man leaning out the back window of a car shouting gang slogans toward a group was shot by someone in the group. Police said the man was hit in the back and arm and is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. The shooting happened near 26th Street and Lawndale Avenue in Little Village. 
 22-year-old man shot in South Shore
At about 2:20 a.m., someone shot a 22-year-old man in the chest and buttocks. The shooter was refused entry to a house party in the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive in the South Shore neighborhood. After being told he couldn't come in, he fired into the house, hitting the 22-year-old.
63-year-old man shot on Near West Side
Someone shot a 63-year-old man about 1:50 a.m. near the United Center on the Near West Side. The man was wounded in the 2100 block of West Van Buren Street and taken to Stroger hospital. He's being held on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon because police found a gun in his SUV, which was found on Western Avenue.
18-year-old woman shot in Little Village
Just before midnight, an 18-year-old woman was shot in the 3000 block of South Tripp Avenue in Little Village. She was in a car with two women and two men, and the group drove the wounded woman to Loretto Hospital in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side. The two men disappeared by the time police arrived, though. Someone on the street fired toward the car after throwing other items toward the car
34-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
At about 4:45 a.m., a 34-year-old man was shot in the 3900 block of West Wilcox Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The man had been sitting in a vehicle when someone approached and opened fire, hitting him multiple times in the chest and leg.  He was taken to Mount Sinai, where he was listed in serious condition.
3 people shot in Roseland
Three people were shot about 2:50 a.m. in the 0-100 block of West 114th Street in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. One of them, a 25-year-old man, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
A 19-year-old woman was shot in the hand and taken to Advocate Christ, and a 27-year-old woman was shot in the foot and taken to Roseland Community Hospital. Both their conditions were stabilized.
 19-year-old man shot in Park Manor
A 19-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the hand in the Park Manor neighborhood.
The man told police someone in a white car fired at him about 9:50 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Champlain Avenue

 17-year-old boy shot in West Town
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the 1500 block of West Superior Street in the West Town neighborhood.
The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. The teen told police he heard shots and then felt pain.

14-year-old boy shot in Gresham
A 14-year-old boy was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital by a relative with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The boy was shot in the 8600 block of South Carpenter Street and was in good condition

39-year-old woman shot in South Shore
A 39-year-old woman was shot about 1:20 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Constance Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood. She was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition. Police said she was in an argument with another man just before the shooting.
36-year-old man shot in Park Manor
A 36-year-old man in stable condition at Saint Bernard Hospital & Healthcare Center with a wound to his thigh. He was shot about 3:30 a.m. near 67th Street and Rhodes Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood.
2 shot in Chatham
The shooting happened in the Chatham neighborhood on Langley Avenue. Shortly after 4 p.m., police and paramedics responded to the shooting on the 7800 block of South Langley Avenue.
Two men, ages 29 and 22 were found shot. One suffered a wound to his stomach area and the other was shot in his leg. They were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center 
18-year-old man shot in Washington Park
A 18-year-old man was shot in the city's Parkway Gardens neighborhood. That shooting happened on the 6400 block of South King Drive.
A gunman shot the victim in his leg then fled on foot. The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized.
11-year-old girl shot in Hermosa
An 11-year-old girl who was shot in her side while sitting on the front steps of her home in the Hermosa neighborhood
The girl, who is about 11, was sitting on the steps of her home in the 2300 block of North Kostner Avenue with family members about 4 a.m. when the shooter, possibly a woman, fired four or five times and struck her in the side.
The girl suffered a through and through wound to her side, and was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital
Person shot in Gage Park
At  about 4 a.m. on the Southwest Side's Gage Park neighborhood, another person was shot. It happened in the 5600 block of South Sacramento Avenue. That person, of an unknown age and gender, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair to serious condition
16-year-old boy shot in Garfield Park
A 16-year-old boy told police he was standing outside in a vacant lot when he heard shots and felt pain about 12:20 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Wilcox Street.
The boy was shot in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition
53-year-old man shot in Back of the Yards
A  53-year-old man is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital after he was shot about 11:20 p.m. Saturday night in the 4500 block of South McDowell Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. The man was approached by another man who shot him once in the left side of his torso before fleeing on foot
2 men shot in Washington Park
At about 3:20 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side, two men, ages 29 and 28, were standing on a sidewalk when another male approached and opened fire. The two were both taken to Stroger hospital, where their conditions have stabilized. Both suffered knee injuries -- the 29-year-old in the left knee and the 28-year-old in the right knee.
 37-year-old man shot in Longwood Manor
A 37-year-old man told police that he was shot about 5:50 a.m. in the 9500 block of South State Street in the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the South Side. The man, who was shot in the right shoulder and left arm, transported himself to St. Bernard Hospital.
3 men shot in West Town
In  a shooting, about 5:30 a.m. in the 300 block of South Green Street in the West Town neighborhood, three men were wounded, according to News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
A 22-year man was hit in the torso and was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition and a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken to Mount Sinai, where his condition has stabilized. A third man, age 21, was hit in the forearm and took himself to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he is in good condition.
Man shot in Humboldt Park
At  about 7 p.m. a male was shot on the 900 block of North Central Park in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The victim, whose age was not available, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and took himself to Norwegian-American Hospital where his condition had stabilized
14 year old boy shot in Woodlawn
Sunday night about 9 p.m. in the city's West Woodlawn neighborhood, a boy was shot.
Police said the victim was shot in the leg in the 6000 block of East 62nd Street and the victim, a juvenile, was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in serious to critical condition.
The 14-year-old victim was riding a bicycle with several companions when they were approached by two other people on bikes and one of them pulled a gun and fired five rounds, hitting the boy in the left calf
28-year-old man shot in Lawndale
Sunday night about 11:45 p.m. in the city's Lawndale neighborhood, a 28-year-old man was shot in the neck in the 1400 block of South Tripp Avenue.
After being shot, the man walked to the 1500 block of South Kolin Avenue, where emergency crews responded, police said. The man, who lives in that area, suffered an apparent graze wound and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital

26-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
A man was shot at a West Side bus stop early this morning
The 26-year-old man was shot in the leg around 3:15 a.m. near Jackson Boulevard and Pulaski Road at a bus stop for a westbound Jackson bus. Police found two shell casings from a small caliber gun, possibly a .22. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
17-year-old boy shot in Belmont Cragin
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the 2100 block of North Mulligan Avenue about 9:50 p.m. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition with a wound to his thigh
17-year-old boy shot in Englewood
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the back near 70th Street and Perry Avenue about 8 p.m. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
24-year-old man in Lawndale
A 24-year-old man was shot near 24th Street and Washtenaw Avenue about 8:20 pm. He walked into Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and was listed in good condition.
35-year-old man  shot in Englewood
A 35-year-old man was shot in the 5800 block of South Winchester Avenue about 4:30 p.m. He was shot in the leg and arm and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
40-year-old man and 19-year-old shot in Washington Park
A 40-year-old man and 19-year-old man both sustained buttocks wounds when someone fired toward them at least 7 times on 57th Street just east of State Street in the Washington Park neighborhood. 
The shooting happened before 12:30 a.m. and both men were taken John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.  Both are in critical condition
36-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
A 36-year-old man shot in the East Garfield Park neighborhood took a cab to Northwestern Memorial Hospital to get treatment for his wound. Police said he was shot in the big toe about 10:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Madison Street
20-year-old man shot in Lawndale
Someone shot a 20-year-old man in the Lawndale neighborhood about 10:35 p.m. He and a couple others were standing in front of an apartment building when a man in a red shirt approached and started shooting, according to neighbors. Shootings in Chicago July 30, 2013

22-year-old man shot in Englewood
A 22-year-old man walking down the sidewalk was hurt in a drive-by shooting about 6:05 a.m. in the 5900 block of South Emerald Avenue in Englewood. A small green truck drove by and at least one person inside fired shots, striking the man in the ear and the back. He was taken to Stroger hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
 23-year-old man shot in Woodlawn
A 23-year-old man shot about 1:50 a.m. in the 6300 block of South Rhodes Avenue in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side. The man was shot in the arm and listed in good condition at University of Chicago
19-year-old man shot in Bronzeville
A 19-year-old man shot in the arm about 9:45 p.m. while walking down the 500 block of East 47th Street in the Bronzeville neigfhborhood on the South Side. The man walked into University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.
 23-year-old man shot in West Pullman
A 23-year-old man shot in the abdomen about 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of West 117th Street and South Normal Avenue in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.
16-year-old robbery victim shot in  Englewood
A 16-year-old robbery victim was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood after he refused to give up his bicycle to several people this evening.
The shooting happened at 7:53 p.m. on the 1800 block of West 71st Street.
The teen sustained gunshot wounds to his right thigh during the robbery.
The teen was on his bicycle when he was approached by several males who demanded the bicycle. When the boy tried to ride away from the group, one of the people brandished a gun and fired several times.
The males fled with the bicycle
20-year-old man shot in Rogers Park
On the 7200 block of North Sheridan Road in the Rogers Park neighborhood a 20-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and both legs at about 8:05 p.m.
The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where his condition had stabilized
35-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
A 35-year-old man was shot and seriously hurt in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
The man was standing in the 0-100 block of South Kostner Avenue when a male gunman approached and opened fire. Bullets struck the man in the back, arm and leg, and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.\\
28-year-old man shot in Bronzeville
At about 7:30 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 3500 block of S. Vincennes Avenue. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
25-year-old man shot in Washington Park
A 25-year-old man was shot at 4:48 a.m. in the 300 block of East Garfield Boulevard.
The man arrived at Roseland Community Hospital shot in the foot. He was listed in good condition.
35-year-old man was shot in South Chicago
A 35-year-old man was shot in the 2900 block of East 89th Street, in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The man was shot in the arm and taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
28-year-old man shot in Englewood
28-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in the Englewood neighborhood.
Someone opened fire from a black sedan as the man was standing on the sidewalk, striking the man in the foot.
An acquaintance to0k the man to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

 52-year-old woman shot in South Shore
In a  shooting in the South Shore neighborhood about 5:25 p.m., someone shot the 52-year-old woman in the arm in the 2700 block of East 79th Street.
The woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition

26-year-old man shot in Englewood
A 26-year-old man was shot in the shoulder at 3:55 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Sangamon Street
44-year-old man shot on Near West Side
The shooting happened in the 1000 block of West Van Buren Street about 1:50 a.m. Someone fired into a 44-year-old man's eastbound car five times and hit the driver in the abdomen and arm. 
The man's car crashed into a building at the corner of Aberdeen and Van Buren streets after the shooting. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital  and taken into surgery just before 3 a.m.
The shooter fired from inside a dark sedan and the attack may have been prompted by an earlier argument in a nearby restaurant
21-year-old man shot in Woodlawn
A 21-year-old man walked into Jackson Park Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left foot and another to his right calf about 7:15 p.m. He told police he was shot in the 6200 block of South Eberhart Avenue
19-year-old man shot in South Chicago
About 9:30 p.m. a 19-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, legs and abdomen. Someone shot him in a parking lot in the 1800 block of East 79th Street, police said. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.

Man critically wounded in Lawndale  shooting
A man, in his 20's, was critically wounded this afternoon in a shooting on the West Side in the city's Lawndale neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 12:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of South Keeler Avenue
28-year-old man shot in Englewood
A 28-year-old man drove himself to St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center after suffering three wounds, two to his abdomen and one to his chest. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was shot in the 5900 block of South Peoria Avenue about 3:30 a.m
Four people, including a 14-year-old boy shot in Woodlawn
Four people, including a 14-year-old boy, were wounded around 12:30 a.m. on Cottage Grove between 60th and 61st streets in the West Woodlawn neighborhood.
The 14-year-old was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, about two blocks away. A 54-year-old woman with a leg wound and a 37-year-old man with a wound to the right forearm were taken to the University of Chicago Hospital. A 35-year-old woman was stable at Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a leg wound

21-year-old man shot in Englewood
Friends of a man shot in the buttocks dropped him off at Saint Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center about 3:30 a.m., but police said the 21-year-old was not cooperating with police and had left the hospital. He was shot in the 6500 block of South Parnell Avenue
 Cab driver shot during robbery in South Shore
A cab driver was shot outside a taxi association on the South Side about 2:30 a.m. Friday. The shooter tried to rob the cabbie in the 7700 block of South Exchange Avenue and shot him in the stomach. The 56-year-old man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition
17-year-old boy shot in Roseland
About 2:15 a.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in the abdomen near 103rd Street and Michigan Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood. He was driven to Little Company of Mary Hospital and transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition.
 Man and a boy, 19 and 16 shot in Englewood
A man and a boy, 19 and 16, were wounded in the 5800 block of South Princeton Avenue about 2:10 a.m. They were on a porch when two men walked up and opened fire. The man was in serious condition at Stroger hospital with a wound to his lower back, and the boy was hit in the left leg and was stable at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.
35-year-old man shot in Roseland
Someone shot a 35-year-old man in the leg about 11:45 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of East Kensington Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood. He was taken to Metro South Medical Center in stable condition
33-year-old man shot in Marquette Park
 A 33-year-old man was shot in the 7100 block of South Campbell Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Thursday. He was on a porch and hit in the shoulder and leg. He was stable at Mount Sinai Hospital.  He was shot by someone who stepped out of an alley and opened fire.
23-year-old man shot in South Shore
A person was wounded about 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 7600 block of South Coles Avenue. The man was shot four times in the leg, once in the abdomen and once in the side. The 23-year-old said he didn't know why he was shot. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
27-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
Someone shot a 27-year-old in his back and left thigh in the 300 block of South Mozart Street about 8:45 p.m. Thursday. The 27-year-old had told the shooter moments earlier to stop urinating in front his girlfriend. The man left, returned on a scooter and opened fire. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
2 men shot in Garfield Park
Two men were shot about 3:42 p.m. Thursday on the 500 block of North Lawndale Avenue in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. Two men, both 20, were shot and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition. One was hit in the left shoulder and the other in the left thigh
Man shot in Gage Park
A man was shot in the 5600 block of South Western Avenue while he was in a car. He was driving south when someone in a Dodge Charger flashed gang sins and fired toward the man, hitting him in the head. He's in grave condition
3 people shot in Austin
In Austin, three people were shot as they stood outside on Leclaire Avenue north of Madison Street around 2:20 a.m. Thursday.
A 29-year-old man was shot in the right ankle and a 25-year-old woman was grazed in the arm. Both of them were taken to West Suburban Medical Center. A 25-year-old woman was shot in the neck and buttocks and was taken to Stroger Hospital.

Man shot in Lawndale
A Lawndale shooting happened about 12:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of South Keeler Avenue.
A man described as being in his 20s was wounded and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed as in critical condition
2 men shot in Back of the Yards
A 46-year-old man was and a 30-year-old man, were shot about 4:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of South Bishop Street in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Both were taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The older man was shot in the right thigh and the younger in the buttocks.
 22-year-old man shot in Lawndale
In the 600 block of South Francisco Avenue in Lawndale a 22-year-old man was shot about 6 p.m. Someone in a dark van driving north on Francisco toward Harrison Street started shooting and the man was shot in the chest while diving for cover. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital by a relative.
25-year-old man shot in Englewood
A 25-year-old man was shot in the buttocks about 11:20 p.m. in the 6400 block of South Oakley Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Man shot in Woodlawn
A man, in his 30s, walked into the University of Chicago Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left knee. He had been shot about 11:30 p.m. in the 700 block of East 60th Street in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
26-year-old man shot in Gresham
After midnight, a 26-year-old man was shot in the shoulder near 79th and Elizabeth streets in the Gresham neighborhood. Police said he'll survive. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with a wound to his shoulder.
Man shot in Austin
One man was shot about 12:35 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North Pine Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood. The 31-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition with wounds to his left thigh and right ankle
17-year-old boy shot in Roseland
A person was shot in the arm in the 500 block of West 110th Street, police said. The 17-year-old boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center but was not cooperating with investigators
24-year-old shot in Humboldt Park
On the West Side, a 24-year-old was shot three times in his legs after someone chased him in a house in the 800 block of North Springfield Avenue. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital after the shooting, which happened about 9:45 p.m. 
 24-year-old man Austin
A 24-year-old man was shot in the face near the intersection of Adams Street and Laramie Avenue. He was shot before midnight and dropped off at Loretto Hospital
22-year-old man shot on Southwest Side
On the Southwest Side, a 22-year-old man standing near a van was shot in the back and taken to  Christ Medical Center in good condition. Someone approached him near the corner of St. Louis Avenue about 2:05 a.m.
