Shootings in Chicago April 20, 2013

Man shot in Kilbourn Park
In the Kilbourn Park neighborhood on the city's Northwest Side, a man was shot about 4:10 p.m. in the 4000 block of West School Street.
The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where his condition had stabilized
18 year old man shot in Chicago Lawn
In the Chicago Lawn neighborhood about 3:30 p.m., someone shot an 18-year-old man in the midsection in the 6200 block of South Maplewood Avenue.
the man's condition also had stabilized at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn
29 year old man shot in Washington Park
 A 29-year-old man was shot multiple times and seriously wounded at 1:23 p.m.
The man was walking on the street in the 5800 block of South Michigan Avenue when a gunman approached and shot him three times in the right side in the upper back, hand and leg.
The man shot was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition
25 year old shot in Park Manor
In the Park Manor neighborhood, a 25-year-old man was shot in another incident that took place at 12:50 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Langley Avenue.
The 25-year-old was standing on a corner when a purple-colored car pulled up, and a passenger got out and fired shots at the victim.
The victim, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was hit in the buttocks and taken by ambulance to Northwestern Memorial Hospital
52-year-old man shot in Gresham
A 52-year-old man was shot about 10:10 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 83rd Street in the Gresham neighborhood. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with wounds to his side and head

Woman dies in Northwest Side home fire

A 73-year-old woman died following a fire this morning in the Kilbourn Park neighborhood.
The preliminary cause of the fire was careless use of smoking materials said Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva. There were also no working smoke detectors found.
Patricia Burns, of the 3300 block of North Kedvale Avenue, was pronounced dead on the scene after a fire at her home.
The Fire Department was called to the home about 11:10 and firefighters were able to keep the blaze largely confined to two rooms of the building. The woman was found in a back room of the home.

2 shot 1 shot dead in Kilbourn Park

The man killed, 19-year-old Junior Estudillo, was shot about 10:10 p.m. near the intersection of School Street and Keeler Avenue in the Kilbourn Park neighborhood while he was in a car with two other people.
Estudillo was pronounced dead about 12:15 a.m. at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. He was shot in the abdomen. The other two, a 19-year-old shot in the face and shoulder and a 25-year-old man shot in the back and buttocks, are still alive. A friend of the three drove them to Norwegian American Hospital and they were transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where the man died.

27-year-old man shot twice in Kilbourn Park

At about 10 p.m, a 27-year-old man was shot twice in an alley in the 3200 block of North Keeler Avenue in the Kilbourn Park neighborhood by a gunman in a passing vehicle.
The victim, who suffered gunshots to the groin and the arm, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center

In the first incident, a man was hospitalized in serious-to-critical condition after he was stabbed on the Northwest Side at 7:42 p.m.
The man was stabbed in his side on the 3200 block of North Kilbourn Avenue in the Kilbourn Park neighborhood. He was hospitalized at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center
