15-year-old boy shot in Hermosa


A 15-year-old walked into Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the right arm and told officers he had been shot about 7 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Kenneth Avenue. But he was largely uncooperative in the investigation. He was in good condition this morning.

Chicago man held without bail in infant daughter's beating

A Chicago man was ordered held without bail Sunday in connection to allegations that he inflicted a number of severe injuries on his 8-week-old daughter.
Dmel R. Hughes, 25, of the 1800 block of North Karlov Avenue in Hermosa, faces felony aggravated battery charges in connection to the beatings took place between Sept. 1 and Thursday.
Hughes’ daughter was admitted to Lurie Children’s Hospital on Thursday with a litany of injuries.
The infant had a skull fracture, rib fractures, other head injuries, a broken collarbone and a broken femur, as well as a burn on her tongue. She was also suffering from seizures and lack of oxygen to the brain.
Hughes, who court records state is a UPS laborer, admitted the infant is his daughter and that he “treated her violently” on several occasions.
Hughes admitted to shaking the infant and throwing her roughly head-first onto a bed, where her head struck a TV remote. He also squeezed her body so hard that she passed out.
Hughes was arrested Friday in the 1800 block of South Pulaski Road in Lawndalerecords.
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services began an investigation into Hughes and the infant’s mother on Friday.
DCFS is investigating abuse allegations against the parents.
The infant’s two siblings have been placed with relatives as part of DCFS-monitored supervision.
The department has had no prior reports regarding the family

Man killed in Hermosa Hit and run

Authorities are searching for a driver accused of fleeing a fatal early-morning crash Sunday in the Hermosa neighborhood.
About 5:20 a.m., three vehicles were involved in a crash in the 1600 block of North Kostner Avenue.
A preliminary investigation suggested a silver pickup truck traveling southbound struck a Toyota Camry and a Hyundai Elantra.
The 25-year-old driver of the Camry died on the scene.
A 17-year-old boy riding in the vehicle was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.
Both occupants of the Elantra declined medical treatment.
Police are searching for driver of the silver vehicle, which may be a Toyota Tacoma

36-year-old man shot in South Shore
Around 9:45 p.m., a 36-year-old man standing on a sidewalk in the Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood was shot in the back by someone inside a silver four-door sedan.
The shooting happened near 69th Street and Jeffery Boulevard. The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was stable

29-year-old man shot in Englewood
A  29-year-old man was shot in the hip in Englewood. The man driving an SUV south on Halsted Street when he was shot at 67th Street. He stopped at 69th Street and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
3 people shot in Chatham
In the West Chatham neighborhood, a man was shot and two other people struck with shards of glass around 10:55 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Lafayette Avenue.
One man was shot in the hip and shoulder and taken to Stroger Hospital. The two people hit by flying glass were taken in good condition to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center.

 35-year-old man shot in Humboldt Park
At about 4:15 p.m., a 35-year-old man shot in the abdomen and bicep walked into Norwegian-American Hospital. He told police he had been shot in the 3800 block of West Grand Avenue.
25-year-old man was shot in  LeClaire Courts
Just before 1 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the upper part of his leg or his groin in the LeClaire Courts neighborhood on the Southwest Side. Police found the man in an alley in the 4500 block of South Lawler Avenue
22-year-old man shot in Longwood Manor
A  22-year-old man was shot about 9:40 p.m. in the 900 block of West 96th Street in the Longwood Manor neighborhood. The man was driving eastbound when someone in a black SUV fired into his vehicle. He was hit in the buttocks and shoulder after crashing into a pole and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized
20 year old man shot in Hermosa
A man, 20, was shot in the Hermosa neighborhood about 8:40 p.m. Police said the 20-year-old, who was shot in the 1800 block of North Keeler Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a wound to his leg and groin.
28-year-old man shot in Humboldt Park
In  the city's West Humboldt Park neighborhood, a 28-year-old man was standing on the street in the 1100 block of North Keystone Avenue when a van pulled up and a passenger fired shots, hitting him in the buttocks. Paramedics found him a short distance away and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition
Man shot in Chatham
At 1:30 p.m. in the Chatham neighborhood, someone shot a man in his 20s in the back in the 8000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. The man, who was shot twice, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition
23-year-old man shot by Police in Woodlawn
In a police shooting early this morning, police working in the West Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side heard gunfire, drove toward it and found a 23-year-old man shooting a handgun toward others.
The shooting happened about 2:10 a.m. near the intersection of 63rd Street and King Drive and the man police shot was taken to an area hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Patrol officers working the Violence Reduction Initiative were patrolling when they saw a person shooting at an unknown target.
The officers got out of their car and announced their office but the man turned toward police with the gun, so they opened fire, said Camden, the spokesman for the Fraternal Order of Police.
Officers fired when the man turned toward them with the weapon raised.
The man ran after the officers fired and turned two more times toward police with the gun still in his hand, Camden said. It wasn't until the third time that he turned that the officers hit him, in the leg.
The man ran into a nearby apartment, where he was found, Camden said. Police blocked all four points of access to the intersection and brought a light truck to the scene to help search for evidence. 
Police collected a 9-millimeter handgun as evidence, Camden said. No officers were injured
2 men shot in wicker Park
At about 11:23 p.m. Friday night during an argument in Wicker Park in the 1400 block of N. Damen Avenue, a 35-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition and a 25-year-old was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. 
Police said both men had documented gang affiliations and long criminal histories.
Man shot in Back of the Yards
At about 4:02 a.m., a man was shot in the mouth and is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. Someone shot him near Garfield Boulevard and Western Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood
18-year-old man shot in Little Village
An 18-year-old man leaning out the back window of a car shouting gang slogans toward a group was shot by someone in the group. Police said the man was hit in the back and arm and is in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital. The shooting happened near 26th Street and Lawndale Avenue in Little Village. 
 22-year-old man shot in South Shore
At about 2:20 a.m., someone shot a 22-year-old man in the chest and buttocks. The shooter was refused entry to a house party in the 7800 block of South South Shore Drive in the South Shore neighborhood. After being told he couldn't come in, he fired into the house, hitting the 22-year-old.
63-year-old man shot on Near West Side
Someone shot a 63-year-old man about 1:50 a.m. near the United Center on the Near West Side. The man was wounded in the 2100 block of West Van Buren Street and taken to Stroger hospital. He's being held on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon because police found a gun in his SUV, which was found on Western Avenue.
18-year-old woman shot in Little Village
Just before midnight, an 18-year-old woman was shot in the 3000 block of South Tripp Avenue in Little Village. She was in a car with two women and two men, and the group drove the wounded woman to Loretto Hospital in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side. The two men disappeared by the time police arrived, though. Someone on the street fired toward the car after throwing other items toward the car
34-year-old man shot in Garfield Park
At about 4:45 a.m., a 34-year-old man was shot in the 3900 block of West Wilcox Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The man had been sitting in a vehicle when someone approached and opened fire, hitting him multiple times in the chest and leg.  He was taken to Mount Sinai, where he was listed in serious condition.
3 people shot in Roseland
Three people were shot about 2:50 a.m. in the 0-100 block of West 114th Street in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side. One of them, a 25-year-old man, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
A 19-year-old woman was shot in the hand and taken to Advocate Christ, and a 27-year-old woman was shot in the foot and taken to Roseland Community Hospital. Both their conditions were stabilized.
 19-year-old man shot in Park Manor
A 19-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the hand in the Park Manor neighborhood.
The man told police someone in a white car fired at him about 9:50 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Champlain Avenue

 17-year-old boy shot in West Town
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the 1500 block of West Superior Street in the West Town neighborhood.
The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. The teen told police he heard shots and then felt pain.

14-year-old boy shot in Gresham
A 14-year-old boy was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital by a relative with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The boy was shot in the 8600 block of South Carpenter Street and was in good condition

39-year-old woman shot in South Shore
A 39-year-old woman was shot about 1:20 a.m. in the 7800 block of South Constance Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood. She was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition. Police said she was in an argument with another man just before the shooting.
36-year-old man shot in Park Manor
A 36-year-old man in stable condition at Saint Bernard Hospital & Healthcare Center with a wound to his thigh. He was shot about 3:30 a.m. near 67th Street and Rhodes Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood.
2 shot in Chatham
The shooting happened in the Chatham neighborhood on Langley Avenue. Shortly after 4 p.m., police and paramedics responded to the shooting on the 7800 block of South Langley Avenue.
Two men, ages 29 and 22 were found shot. One suffered a wound to his stomach area and the other was shot in his leg. They were taken in serious-to-critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center 
18-year-old man shot in Washington Park
A 18-year-old man was shot in the city's Parkway Gardens neighborhood. That shooting happened on the 6400 block of South King Drive.
A gunman shot the victim in his leg then fled on foot. The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital where his condition was stabilized.
11-year-old girl shot in Hermosa
An 11-year-old girl who was shot in her side while sitting on the front steps of her home in the Hermosa neighborhood
The girl, who is about 11, was sitting on the steps of her home in the 2300 block of North Kostner Avenue with family members about 4 a.m. when the shooter, possibly a woman, fired four or five times and struck her in the side.
The girl suffered a through and through wound to her side, and was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital
Person shot in Gage Park
At  about 4 a.m. on the Southwest Side's Gage Park neighborhood, another person was shot. It happened in the 5600 block of South Sacramento Avenue. That person, of an unknown age and gender, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair to serious condition
16-year-old boy shot in Garfield Park
A 16-year-old boy told police he was standing outside in a vacant lot when he heard shots and felt pain about 12:20 a.m. in the 4000 block of West Wilcox Street.
The boy was shot in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition
53-year-old man shot in Back of the Yards
A  53-year-old man is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital after he was shot about 11:20 p.m. Saturday night in the 4500 block of South McDowell Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. The man was approached by another man who shot him once in the left side of his torso before fleeing on foot
2 men shot in Washington Park
At about 3:20 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Wabash Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side, two men, ages 29 and 28, were standing on a sidewalk when another male approached and opened fire. The two were both taken to Stroger hospital, where their conditions have stabilized. Both suffered knee injuries -- the 29-year-old in the left knee and the 28-year-old in the right knee.
 37-year-old man shot in Longwood Manor
A 37-year-old man told police that he was shot about 5:50 a.m. in the 9500 block of South State Street in the Longwood Manor neighborhood on the South Side. The man, who was shot in the right shoulder and left arm, transported himself to St. Bernard Hospital.
3 men shot in West Town
In  a shooting, about 5:30 a.m. in the 300 block of South Green Street in the West Town neighborhood, three men were wounded, according to News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
A 22-year man was hit in the torso and was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition and a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken to Mount Sinai, where his condition has stabilized. A third man, age 21, was hit in the forearm and took himself to Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, where he is in good condition.
Man shot in Humboldt Park
At  about 7 p.m. a male was shot on the 900 block of North Central Park in the Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The victim, whose age was not available, sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and took himself to Norwegian-American Hospital where his condition had stabilized
14 year old boy shot in Woodlawn
Sunday night about 9 p.m. in the city's West Woodlawn neighborhood, a boy was shot.
Police said the victim was shot in the leg in the 6000 block of East 62nd Street and the victim, a juvenile, was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in serious to critical condition.
The 14-year-old victim was riding a bicycle with several companions when they were approached by two other people on bikes and one of them pulled a gun and fired five rounds, hitting the boy in the left calf
28-year-old man shot in Lawndale
Sunday night about 11:45 p.m. in the city's Lawndale neighborhood, a 28-year-old man was shot in the neck in the 1400 block of South Tripp Avenue.
After being shot, the man walked to the 1500 block of South Kolin Avenue, where emergency crews responded, police said. The man, who lives in that area, suffered an apparent graze wound and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital

Man shoots friends, 1 fatally, over beer money

A man who had contributed money to buy beer along with his friends became angry when he did not get any change back and fatally shot one of those friends and critically wounded another over the weekend.
Gumaro Torres, 31, was ordered held without bail after being charged with the shootings that happened on Aug. 16, at about 11:30 p.m. He was charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Torres was at a home on the 1800 block of North Pulaski Road where Torres and the other members of the group, including Jose De LaFuente, were sitting at a picnic table in the yard.
After drinking several beers, Torres became angry about beer money and began a verbal argument.
A short while later Torres left the group and went to his home on the same block and returned with a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
"He stated that he was angry that when he returned the victims laughed at him" .
As soon as he returned to his group of friends he "immediately began to fire his gun at Jose De La Fuente" . De LaFuente was struck in the abdomen and later died at Mount Sinai Hospital.
As Torres fired, another friend tried to stop Torres from shooting but as he approached, Torres turned the gun on him.
The friend was shot in the hand, abdomen, leg and right hip, and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai where he remains.
After shooting the friend, a third man was able to subdue Torres. As Torres struggled, he pistol whipped the third friend several times in the head with the butt of the gun.

1 shot, 1 shot dead in Hermosa

Two people were shot about 11:30 in the 1800 block of North Pulaski Road in the Hermosa neighborhood and a third person was pistol-whipped. A man in his 40s died from the shooting at Mount Sinai Hospital and the second person shot, a 27-year-old man, is in serious condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The three were attacked by a co-worker after an argument over beer and the shooter was arrested at the scene

17-year-old boy shot in Bridgeport
A 17-year-old boy was shot at 38th Street and Wentworth Avenue in the Wentworth Gardens neighborhood near U.S. Cellular Field two blocks north. He was hit once in the shoulder and taken to Stroger hospital. Police said the boy collapsed on a basketball court after being shot about 10 p.m.
24-year-old man shot in Lawndale
At about 11:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side. Someone fired toward him from a gangway in the 1900 block of South Harding Avenue and the man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he's in stable condition. 
2 shot in Portage Park
Two people were shot about 1 a.m. in the 5800 block of West Irving Park Road in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. A 21-year-old was shot in the leg and a 22-year-old was grazed in the abdomen
24-year-old man shot Rogers Park
A  24-year-old man was shot about 1 a.m. in the 7400 block of North Rogers Avenue in the Rogers Park neighborhood. He ran to a nearby CTA station where police found him. He is in stable condition at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
18-year-old woman shot in South Shore
At about 2:05 a.m. an 18-year-old woman was shot in the 1700 block of East 71st Street in the South Shore neighborhood. She walked into Jackson Park Hospital with a wound to her foot
26-year-old man shot in Humboldt Park
A 26-year-old man was shot in the buttocks about 2:30 a.m. when someone in a group on the 1400 block of North Spaulding Avenue in Humboldt Park fired toward his car. The driver took the man to Norwegian-American Hospital
Man shot in Avondale
About 4:30 a.m. a man walked into Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a wound to his thigh. The man had been shot near the intersection of Belmont and California avenues in the Avondale neighborhood
Man shot in Back of the Yards
A man was shot and critically wounded in an attack in the Back of the Yards neighborhood The man was in an alley in the 1800 block of West 44th Street when he was shot about 12:30 p.m.. He suffered wounds to the arm, leg and buttocks The man, 22, was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, in critical condition

16-year-old boy shot in Grand Crossing
At about 5:05 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the back and stomach in the 1400 block of East 74th Street. The boy was taken to Jackson Park Hospital in serious condition
33-year-old man shot in South Deering
At about 7 p.m., a 33-year-old man was shot in the 2400 block of East 106th Street. The man, who was shot in the ankle, walked into Advocate Trinity Hospital for treatment.
 16-year-old boy shot in Englewood
At about 9 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the 7100 block of South Sangamon Street in the Englewood neighborhood. The victim suffered a gunshot or graze wound to the head. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and was stabilized
33-year-old man shot in Little Village
A 33-year-old man was shot about 6:43 a.m. near 32nd Street and Komensky Avenue in the Little Village neighborhood. He was shot in the chest and arm and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
Woman shot in Hermosa
 A woman whose age wasn't available was shot about 5:55 a.m. in the leg in the 4400 block of West Dickens Avenue in the Hermosa neighborhood, police said. She drove to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center after realizing she had been shot while driving. Her condition has stabilized
Man and woman shot in Lawndale
A gunman shot a 29-year-old man in the wrist and grazed a 22-year-old woman in the forehead as the pair sat in a car after leaving a party about 2:45 a.m. Sunday. They were shot in the 3100 block of West Fillmore Street in the Lawndale neighborhood and drove to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center. Both are in good condition
 18-year-old woman shot in Englewood
Near 71st and Wood streets in the Englewood neighborhood about 2:30 a.m., an 18-year-old woman walking with her aunt was shot in the knee. They heard shots and felt pain. She's in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
30-year-old man shot in Belmont Central
Someone shot from one car into another next to a gas station in the 5700 block of Fullerton Avenue in the Belmont Central neighborhood about 12:50 a.m. A 30-year-old man was shot in the knee about a block west of Central Avenue as he sat in one of the cars; he was driven from there to Kilpatrick Avenue and Fullerton Avenue, where police and an ambulance found him. He was taken to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center.
30-year-old man was shot in Wrightwood
A 30-year-old man was shot in the 7900 block of South Francisco Avenue in the  neighborhood about 10:15 p.m.. He was shot in the lower right leg and is in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
27-year-old man shot in Logan Square
Someone shot a 27-year-old man near Rockwell Street and Wabansia Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. and the man's condition has stabilized at Norwegian-American Hospital. He was on a bike when someone in an SUV shot at him
23-year-old man shot in South Shore
A man has been shot multiple times and seriously wounded this afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.
Someone shot a 23-year-old man multiple times about the body about 2:50 p.m. in the 7400 block of South Phillips Avenue.

In the South Chicago neighborhood about 5:30 p.m., two males were shot in the 8700 block of South Houston Avenue.
The two were wounded in their shoulders and were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
The victims, both 35-year-old men, were in serious to critical condition
17-year-old boy, 2 others shot in Brainerd
In a  shooting on the South Side, three people were hurt when a shooter emerged from a gangway and opened fire in the 9000 block of South Ada Street in the Brainerd neighborhood.
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, a 19-year-old man was shot in the thigh and taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, and a 23-year-old man was grazed in the head and taken to St. Bernard Hospital

Shootings in Chicago August 6,7, 2013

25-year-old man  shot in Grand Crossing
At about 2:50 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 1200 block of East 69th Street. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center in good condition.
19-year-old man shot in Cragin
In a shooting that occurred just before midnight in the Northwest Side's Cragin neighborhood, a 19-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 4800 block of West Fletcher Street.
The man was taken in serious condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center
20-year-old man shot in Hermosa
On the Northwest Side, a 20-year-old man was shot in the Hermosa neighborhood about 3:15 p.m.
The shooting happened in the 4300 block of West Armitage Avenue and left the boy with two gunshot wounds to the leg.
He was taken to Illinois Masonic in critical condition and was listed in serious condition
26-year-old man shot in Bronzeville
A 26-year-old man was shot about 2:20 p.m. in the South Side's Bronzeville neighborhood.
The man arrived at Mercy Hospital after being shot in the knee in the 4200 block of South Calumet Avenue. He was listed in good condition.
2 shot  in Englewood
Two men were wounded this morning in an attack on the South Side in the city's Englewood neighborhood.
A relative of one of the victims called police around 9:40 a.m. and said a person had been shot in both of his legs in the 5800 block of South Morgan Street. Another man, described as in his 50s, was shot in his back.
The shooter fled the scene in a blue 4-door vehicle.
The victim who was shot in his legs was described as in his 20s. He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center where his condition had been stabilized, said Mirabelli. The second victim was taken in serious-to-critical condition to Stroger Hospital.
33-year-old man shot in Englewood
A 33-year-old man had walked into nearby into St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and authorities believe the shooting took place on the 5800 block of South Sangamon Street
The man was listed in good condition

Man shot, seriously wounded in Englewood

A man in his 40s has been taken to a hospital tonight in serious condition following a shooting on the South Side. Someone shot the man multiple times about 7:15 p.m. in the 5900 block of South Normal Avenue.
20-year-old man shot in West Town
A 20-year-old man was dropped off at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County bleeding from a pair of gunshot wounds to his chest late Wednesday night. 
The man told police he had been shot in the 2500 block of West Huron Street, near Smith Park. Police looked for a crime scene at the park and checked garbage cans but weren't able to find anything. 
The 20-year-old told responding officers that he wouldn't assist police with their investigation and that he wished to find out who shot him on his own. 
After getting shot, police learned the man had an outstanding traffic warrant and he was arrested.

Man accused of child porn and sex abuse

Bail was set at $275,000 today for a 30-year-old man charged with possessing child pornography and sexually abusing two children.
Jesus Munoz, of the 1600 block of North Kedvale Avenue in the city's Hermosa neighborhood, was arrested by Chicago police Tuesday following an investigation into computer-downloaded child pornography conducted by the Cook County state's attorney's office.
When officers executed a search warrant they found a laptop computer containing illegal movies of children under 13 committing sex acts.
Also, two children who also lived in the residence told officials they had been inappropriately touched by Munoz many times, both underneath and over their clothing.
Munoz is charged with possession of child pornography and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, both Class 2 felonies

About 8 p.m., a man in his 20s and three other people were found shot in the 2900 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue. The man died later at Stroger Hospital and the three others were in critical condition

16-year-old Kevin Rivera tried to run from a gunman on a bicycle.
But late Saturday night, someone shot Rivera in the 4100 block of West North Avenue. He attempted to run but collapsed a few feet away
The boy, who lived a few blocks away from the scene, was pronounced dead about 1:35 a.m. Sunday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center

A 26-year-old man who had been shot in the right arm in the 2100 block of North Tripp Avenue in the Hermosa neighborhood was found a couple blocks away on Fullerton Avenue. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition
20-year-old man shot in Chicago Lawn
A 20-year-old man was left in serious condition after someone shot him a few times in the back in the 6200 block of South Artesian Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital
Man shot in Park Manor
Another person was shot while driving in the 7200 block of South Champlain Avenue in the Park Manor neighborhood about 9:45 p.m. He crashed into a pole after sustaining a wound to the lower back, police said, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. A teen was shot in the arm this afternoon on the West Side.
Someone shot the male teen in the arm at 1:49 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Laramie Avenue.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition
25-year-old man shot in Loop hotel
A 25-year-old man was shot in the leg early this morning during a party on the 22nd floor of a Loop hotelit  happened about 2:15 a.m. at the Palmer House, 17 East Monroe St
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition
28-year-old man shot in Chatham
A 28-year-old man walking on the street was hit in the hand by a shot fired by a male passenger in a silver, older-model Lexus driven by a female. The incident happened about 4:55 a.m. in the 300 block of East 75th Street in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side. The victim, who was transported to St. Bernard in good condition, ran from the scene as the attackers fled
22-year-old man shot in Hermosa
A 22-year-old man riding inside a vehicle was shot in the arm about 4:18 a.m. at North Avenue and Kedvale Avenue in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side. He was driven to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized.
19-year-old man shot in west Lawn
A 19-year-old man was shot in the left hand and in the left side of his jaw while exiting a vehicle about 4:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of West 65th Place in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and was transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition had stabilized

About 10 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the shin while walking down the sidewalk in the 5500 block of South Shields Avenue in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, Alfaro said. He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where his condition was stabilized

About 9:20 p.m., a 35-year-old man was shot in the leg near the intersection of West 85th Street and South Loomis Boulevard in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, Alfaro said. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in good condition.
Man, 23, shot on Stevenson Expressway
A man was shot in the arm Sunday night as he drove along the Stevenson Expressway.
The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. as the 23-year-old man was driving northbound along Interstate 55, near the junction with the Dan Ryan Expressway.
The man drove himself to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he was treated and released
17-year-old boy shot in West Lawn
At about 7:13 p.m. Sunday, when a 17-year-old boy was hit by gunfire in a gang-related shooting in the West Lawn neigborhood. The teen was walking on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of 66th Place when a light colored SUV pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire, striking the teen in the abdomen and thigh. The 17-year-old was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in Woodlawn, where he is in “stable” condition

A passenger riding in a car near North and Hamlin Avenues was shot about 4:15 a.m. in the West Side Humboldt Park neighborhood. The man, 22, was shot in the arm and driven to Our Lady of the Resurrection Hospital, where he is in “stable” condition.

A 26-year-old man was shot at 11:35 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of South Washtenaw Avenue in the South Side Brighton Park neighborhood
21-year-old man shot in Grand Crossing
At 10:20 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot through a glass door of an apartment after hearing someone knocking in the 1300 block of East 75th Street in the South Side Grand Crossing neighborhood.
He was taken in “stable” condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with gunshot wounds to both legs and an arm
2 teens shot in Avalon Park
At about 9:45 p.m. two teenage boys were walking down the sidewalk in the 8400 block of South Constance Avenue about 9:45 p.m. in the South Side Avalon Park neighborhood when a light-colored car pulled up and someone inside opened fire.
The younger boy, 15, was shot in the chest. Paramedics took him to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Another boy, 16, suffered a graze wound to the back, and is in good condition at Jackson Park Hospital
