A man with thick eyebrows chased an 11-year-old boy and tried to lure him into a purple car by saying they could play Xbox this morning in the Belmont Heights neighborhood.
The man called to the boy saying “Let’s go play Xbox’’ and told him to get into his car about 9 a.m. in the 7400 block of West School Street, according to a Community Alert from Grand Central Area detectives. When the child refused he chased after the child but the boy ran home.
The man has large lips and thick eyebrows that the child told police was a “uni-brow,’’ the alert said.
He is between the ages of 30 and 40, is 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, and weighs about 160 pounds, the alert said. He was wearing a black t-shirt with red lettering that he wore over a white long-sleeved shirt and baggy black pants.
The man fled in a small to mid-sized purple two-door car with tinted windows.
