A 17-year-old girl was shot in the face but remained in fair condition late Friday, police said.
About 9:50 p.m. in West Englewood, the teen was standing on the sidewalk near the intersection of South Wood and West 64th streets when shots were fired and she was struck in the face, according to police New Affairs Officer Hecotr Alfaro.
No one else was injured and no other details were immediately available, Alfaro said.
The girl was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County where she was listed in fair condition.
