3 SHOT IN WEST AUSTIN

A teenage boy and two men were injured Wednesday afternoon in a shooting in the West Side Austin neighborhood. One of the men remains in “guarded” condition early Thursday.

 About 2:50 p.m., two men and a 17-year-old boy were in a Cadillac near 101 S. Cicero Ave. when a van drove by and someone inside fired multiple rounds at them.

 Officials think the shooting stemmed from a personal dispute between the three victims and the shooter, but that they were not cooperating with authorities and would not name the gunman.

 A 21-year-old man shot in the upper back during the attack was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he remains in “guarded” condition, police said. A 28-year-old man was treated and released from John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital

for a graze wound to the back while a 17-year-old boy was grazed in the right thigh and left arm. He refused medical treatment.

2 MEN SHOT ONE SHOT DEAD ON WESTSIDE

Two men were shot as they sat in a car in the 100 block of North Kostner Avenue shortly before 10 a.m
One of the men, 28, died and was identified as Antione Lavender of the 200 block of South Lavergene Avenue, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office. The other victim, 34, was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital

24 YR MAN SHOT ON WESTSIDE

A 24-year-old man was shot and wounded about 6:45 p.m. on the 4400 block of West Adams Street, according to preliminary police information.

The victim said he was in an alley when a van pulled in and the driver called him over to the vehicle. The gunman then fired, striking the victim in the right leg and hand.

Man shot, killed in car on South Side

A man was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side late Friday, officials said.
The man was identified as Terry McNeal, 46, of the 4400 block of West Adams Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
About 11 p.m., McNeal was sitting with another person in a black 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix in the 6800 block of South Justine Street when someone approached on foot and fired at him multiple times, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said.
McNeal was wounded in the head and back, Perez said, and was dead on the scene, a medical examiner's spokeswoman said.
No one is in custody and Wentworth detectives are investigating.

Man and Woman Shot in West Garfield Park

At 2:46 a.m. in West Garfield Park, a 34-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were shot as they were sitting in car in the 4700 block of

West West End Avenue

, a release said. A vehicle pulled alongside them and fired shots, hitting both. The man was shot in the leg and the woman suffered a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Both were taken to Stroger, in good and serious condition, respectively.
No one was in custody for any of the shootings and area detectives were investigating.

3 wounded in shootings across city

At least three people were wounded Monday evening in shootings on the city's South, West and Northwest Sides, officials said.

The first shooting happened shortly after 5 p.m. on the 200 block of South Kostner Avenue in the city's West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Preliminary reports said a 19-year-old man was driving when he was shot nine times. He was taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Less than an hour later, a 17-year-old boy was shot in the city's Belmont Cragin neighborhood.

That shooting happened on the 2800 block of North Central Avenue, police said. The youth was walking in a parking lot when someone leaned over a fence and fired in his direction, striking him in the leg, police said.
The teen drove himself to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center where he was listed in good condition.

About an hour later, a 20-year-old man was shot multiple times in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood.

That shooting happened on the 1500 block of East 68th Street. Preliminary reports said the man was shot several times in the torso by an unknown suspect who fled the scene. The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in fair condition.
