At 2:46 a.m. in
West Garfield Park, a 34-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were shot as they were sitting in car in the 4700 block of
West West End Avenue, a release said. A vehicle pulled alongside them and fired shots, hitting both. The man was shot in the leg and the woman suffered a gunshot wound to her abdomen. Both were taken to Stroger, in good and serious condition, respectively.
No one was in custody for any of the shootings and area detectives were investigating.
