Omar Gunn, 17, of the 7600 block of East End Avenue, and Anthony Wells, 18, of the 7100 block of South Jeffery Boulevard, both appeared before Judge Israel Desierto, charged with murder.
The victim, 18-year-old Jaleel Pearson, was chased into a store and shot in the arm and chest on Sept. 20 about 6:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of East 71st Street.
After being shot, Pearson was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was pronounced dead at 6:59 p.m. that day.
Police arrested Gunn on Wednesday and Wells on Thursday
