A DePaul University student reported being robbed by three men Sunday night near the college's Lincoln Park campus on the city's North Side.
About 10:15 p.m. Sunday, the student was walking westbound on Webster Avenue and was approached by three men, including one who displayed a gun.
According to preliminary information, the victim is a 26-year-old man who was walking with his friend, a 29-year-old woman
Police said a man pointed what appeared to be a 9mm handgun at the student's stomach. The robber then told the student to hand over his belongings before going through through the student's pockets and taking his wallet and cell phone.
The armed man then fled southbound on Kenmore Avenue with the two other men.
Mirabelli said the armed man was described as being black, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with dreadlocks, wearing a white, short-sleeved shirt and dark green pants. One of the other men was described as black with a dark complexion, about 6 feet tall, wearing dark green jeans, and the third man, also black, was wearing a green long-sleeved shirt
