The state of Illinois would have to allow ordinary citizens to carry weapons under a federal appeals court ruling issued today, but the judges also gave lawmakers 180 days to put their own version of the law in place.
In a 2-1 decision that is a major victory for the National Rifle Association, the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals said the state's ban on carrying a weapon in public is unconstitutional.

Now the law abiding citizen has a way to protect themself.
It won't be long and the delaying tactics will begin. The "powers that be" will do this until threatened with fines, or maybe even after. What are fines to them anyway? They're paid with taxpayer money right? Next they'll set up a maze of paperwork and assorted hoops one has to jump through. Finally, outrageous "processing fees" will be imposed. In the end, it will go to court again, this time in front of an Obama appointed judge. After all, this is the Chicago Way.
Bottom line: it's never over where statists are concerned.
