Chicago police officials are warning business owners in the Chicago Lawn/Gage Park area of increased robbery incidents this month.
The robberies happened on Dec. 6 at about 6 p.m. on the 2800 block of West 59th Street, then a robbery happened on Dec. 9 at 4:50 p.m. on the 2900 block of West 59th Street.
In both incidents one offender displayed a handgun, demanded money in Spanish and then went to the cash register to retrieve money.
The second offender stood by the front doors of the businesses.
The two men are described as male white Hispanic between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-9 inches tall, between 140 and 200 pounds.
The men were wearing masks at the time.
