Mayor Emanuel at an early Sunday new conference, explained that after spending $1 million dollars to hire the violence interceptor group Ceasefire, which tries to mediate violence before it occurs, part two of his violence reduction plan will be the spending of $1 million dollars to hire the community early warning group "The Bucket Boys". Explaining that just like Ceasefire, "The Bucket Boys" will not snitch on anyone but, instead upon becoming aware of imminent violence in a community, will beat out a war drums rhythm on their buckets, thereby giving the community early warning of the impending violence. Mayor Emanuel stressing the city's commitment to reducing violence said, the hiring of "The Bucket Boy" was the first of its kind in the country.

With Chicago's homicide numbers hovering around 500, Mayor Emanuel at a news conference today, announced a new partnership with a group called "Plan Apparent in da Hood" stating, "Today is a historic day for the city of Chicago. The city along with the Federal government and Plan Apparent in da Hood, have joined forces to totally eliminate homicides in Chicago from this day forward. From now on, all violent deaths in the city of Chicago will now be classified as late- late term abortions. After all, we support a community's right to choose and our commitment to women's and community's rights shall never waiver, thank you."
