One person was killed and another wounded in what police say appears to be a
murder and attempted suicide in a West Rogers Park home this morning.
A man and a woman going through a divorce started
arguing in the home in the 2900 block of West Sherwin Avenue a little before 9
a.m..
Their children
locked themselves in a room and called 9-1-1.
At some point
during the call or argument, the man shot the woman in the head before turning
the gun on himself. The woman died from her wounds.
