A man was found apparently bitten to death by his pit bull in his South Side home
tonight.
The 44-year-old man was in his home on the
5600 block of South Racine Avenue about 8:18 p.m. when his wife arrived home
after running errands and found the dog on top of the victim.
The woman ran outside and called police
on her cell phone, and when authorities arrived the man was dead.
The dog
was confined inside a room at the home while Animal Care and Control personnel
were called.

This is why ppl are afraid of pits...stupid pic like that attached to a bogus news clip. They missed the part were the dog was probably beatin on a regular basis and malnourished. I have a pure bred pit bull and three kids. Never once has he showed any aggression to any of us....it makes me sick
stupid ass dogs
It's not the dog, it's the BAD owners who treat the dogs so bad. Then they wonder WHY? Stupid people.
Well said. People are ignorant when it comes to pits and rots. I have had two. One passed and I still have the other. And they are the most sweetest dogs. Live yah Tim. Its good to know at least some are educated.
Not all dogs are bad & not all dogs are good. Not all owners beat and starve dogs, just like some do. Each dog has it's own personality and without ALL PERTINENT INFORMATION assumptions are always made.
Who's to say the dog wasn't adopted or given to him. He would become the owner by those circumstances too. Even a Chihuahua will try to attack someone and can be well fed and babied. If you have a good dog with no violent tendancies or bad track records for you GREAT because just like humans.....per person per situation. STOP LUMP SUMMING anything! GOD BLESS!
