Two people were taken into police custody after shots were fired at officers
this evening on the South Side in the city’s Englewood neighborhood.
About 6 p.m., shots were fired at police near the 5900 block of South
Laflin Street.
There were no injuries reported but two
people were taken into police custody. Two weapons also were recovered from the
scene.
Police did not return fire
