A pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi truck on the 83rd Street ramp of
the Dan Ryan Expressway this morning.
He was identified as Gabriel O. Ohikhuare, 40, of the 5400 block of North
Kenmore Avenue.
Preliminary reports said Ohikhaure, who was driving a white Ford Crown
Victoria traveling northbound on I-94 stopped along the right shoulder neat 83rd
Street. He exited the vehicle for unknown reasons.
A 1999 Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer traveling in the right lane struck
Ohikhuare who was pronounced dead at the scene.
