The man, age 21 shot in Cottage Grove Heights

A man was shot and critically injured in the Cottage Grove Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side this afternoon.
The man, age 21, was shot in the chest in the 9600 block of South Woodlawn Avenue about 4:48 p.m. The man was walking in the area when he was shot.
Paramedics transported the man to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition from the 9600 block of South University Avenue
