A gunman shot down two men on a sidewalk in the West Side's North Austin
neighborhood.
Killed were Shavez Wilson, 22, and Roy Smith, 25.
Police said the two men were talking in the front yard of Wilson's home in
the 1200 block of North Mason Avenue just before 1:15 a.m., when the gunman
emerged and shot them in the head.
Both Wilson and Smith, of the 5900
block of West Huron Street, were dead at the scene
