Four men were wounded, three of them seriously in a shooting in the city's Englewood
neighborhood late Tuesday.
The four men between the
ages of 19 and 25 were standing in the 7000 block of South Bishop Street just
before 11:45 p.m. when a gunman approached and opened fire on the group.
Two of the men, ages 25 and 22 were wounded in the abdomen and taken to
Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
A 21-year-old man was struck in both legs and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital
in serious condition. A 19-year-old man was struck in the toe and taken to Holy
Cross Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police that a heavyset gunman in a yellow shirt fled through
an alley after the shooting.
