A gunman shot and killed a 49-year-old man during a quarrel on the city's Southwest Side.
The shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. Monday in the 6100 block of South Washtenaw Avenue in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
The victim, identified as Ulysses Martin, was quarreling with another man on the street, when that man pulled a weapon and began firing on Martin.
The victim, who was struck in the abdomen and buttocks, ran to the 6200 block of South Fairfield Avenue -- about two blocks away -- where he collapsed.
Martin, of the 6100 block of South Maplewood Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead
