A woman and an infant were seriously injured when they were struck by a
passenger truck in the Brighton
Park neighborhood this morning.
The woman was crossing the street with the infant when they were struck by a
vehicle in the 4400 block of South California Avenue about 11:07 a.m.
Fire Department rescue crews responded to the call of a woman and infant
struck by a truck at that location and took a woman and infant to Mount Sinai
Hospital about a half hour later, both in serious condition.
The driver fled the scene, but was apprehended not long after the
accident, and was being questioned by police
