A Red Line CTA train stuck someone this evening at the Grand Avenue subway stop on the Near North Side.
About 5:45 p.m. a southbound Red Line train made contact with a person near the Grand Avenue subway station.
Power remained shut down as of 6 p.m. and service has been disrupted.
Chicago Fire Department spokesman Kevin MacGregor said two ambulances went to the scene -- one for the person struck and a second to "check out" a CTA staffer on the train.
As of about 6:25 p.m., the victim was removed from underneath the train, according to the fire department. That person was not taken to a hospital.
The CTA worker was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition
