A 24-year-old man died after being stabbed early this morning near his home in the South Side's West Englewood neighborhood.
The incident happened about 3:20 a.m. in the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue.
The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:51 a.m.,
The victim was identified as Dyshawn Turnage. His home address was on the same block where he was stabbed.

This was my bestfriend for 13 years and what happened to him was wrong...the man who did it still was in his home hours later and the police did nothing but took his side. I feel that nomatter how someone choose to live their life whether it is to be a drug dealer, gang member, husband,or lawyer....once a life is taken it doesn't make it right to judge how they lived their lives but to bring forth justice for who did it. I am going to miss my bff but i know he is another angel added to watch over me.....so I love you dearly with my soul Dyshawn Turnage and you will always be missed.....
