Pedestrian critically hurt in South Side hit-and-run

Chicago police are asking for the public's help in finding a hit-and-run driver who critically injured a pedestrian on the South Side early this morning.
The incident occurred about 3:35 a.m. in the 2500 block of
East 83rd street
 in the South Chicago neighborhood. A female was crossing
83rd Street
, from the north to the south, when she was struck by a dark-colored two-door vehicle heading east on 83rd, police said in a news release. She was hospitalized in critical condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
