Man charged in double homicide arrested in Ark.
A Chicago man arrested in Arkansas is set to appear in court today, accused of killing two women here in 2002, police said today.
A warrant was issued nine days ago for the arrest of Terrance Freeman, 32, in connection with the slayings of Dorothy Richardson and Tina Jackson.
According to reports at the time, Richardson, 27, and Jackson, 20, were dancing with a group of people in the 5000 block of West Madison Street at about 4 a.m. on June 23, 2002 when they were confronted by a man.They argued with him and he left, only to return about an hour later with gun. He shot both women along with a teenage girl who survived. Richardson died immediately; Jackson died two days later.
Records show Freeman, of the 0-99 block of Short Street, Dumas, Ark., used to live at 4944 W. Monroe St. in Chicago. He was convicted of drug charges in 2003 and given a year probation, which he was accused of violating in 2004. Prosecutors filed a violation of probation against him, a warrant was issued, but he was not arrested until now.
