In its officially released statistics does the Chicago Police Department count the incident of 5 people being shot at a party as one incident and therefore one shooting or are five more shooting victims added to the official totals? I guess it would be to much for Chicago's media to ask the Police Department this simple question.

HOW DOES THE CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICIALLY COUNT THE NUMBER OF SHOOTING EACH YEAR?
In its officially released statistics does the Chicago Police Department count the incident of 5 people being shot at a party as one incident and therefore one shooting or are five more shooting victims added to the official totals? I guess it would be to much for Chicago's media to ask the Police Department this simple question.
