A man was in serious condition after being shot multiple times early this morning on the West Side, police said.
At 3:18 a.m., a man in his 30s suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 2800 block of West Augusta Boulevard in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, according to a release from police News Affairs.
The man was taken in serious condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, the release said.
The man was standing on the sidewalk when a black sedan pulled up and someone in the front seat of the car started shooting at him, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his face and chest, Sullivan said.
No one was in custody and Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
