Chicago police are investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man in the Wrightwood neighborhood on the city's Southwest Side Tuesday afternoon.
The man, identified by the Cook County medical examiner’s office as Timothy Collins, was in a vehicle on the 2700 block of West 79th Street when people in another car fired shots at him, according to police.
The victim then got out of the car and tried to flee, but his assailants followed him on foot and shot him multiple times, police said.
Collins, whose address was unavailable, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center just before 2 p.m, according to the medical examiner’s office. No one was in custody
