Woman sexually assaulted in Lakeview

A woman was sexually assaulted by a man who pushed his way into her Lakeview apartment and told her, “Shut up, don’t talk, don't say anything’’ .
The 24-year-old woman had been out with her boyfriend at a bar at Diversey Parkway and Sheridan  Road when she decided to leave for home around 4 a.m. Sunday, police said.  She walked home alone to her apartment building nearby in the 400 block of West Belmont Avenue because her boyfriend wanted to stay out, police said. 
Another resident let her in and she was walking toward her first-floor apartment when she noticed a man in the laundry room near her apartment.
As she opened the door, she was pushed into her apartment by the man, who threatened her, then ripped her clothing off and sexually assaulted her. The man fled down the hallway and she called police.
The woman was able to give a partial description of the attacker, telling police the man was a black, in his early 30s with a medium complexion. He is about 6 feet tall and between 180 and 190 pounds, police siad. The man had a well defined scar running down his left cheek. He was wearing black jeans and a dark colored long sleeve t-shirt
