Police detectives are warning Lincoln Park area residents after a man
attacked a woman as she entered her apartment building over the weekend.
The attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of West
Armitage Avenue in the Sheffield Neighbors neighborhood. The man approached the woman, fondled her and then drove
off in a gold-colored sedan.
The attacker was described as a white Hispanic man, 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-5,
about 20 to 25 years old and weighing 140 to 160 pounds.
He had brown hair, a light complexion and was clean-shaven.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap and blue jeans.
