About 8:30 p.m. in the Brainerd neighborhood, a 24-year-old man was fatally shot
in the abdomen on the 8900 block of South May Street,. The man had
been standing on the sidewalk when someone fired shots from a dark-colored
sedan
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and was pronounced dead
shortly after, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. A
spokesman for the office identified the dead man as Ashton Pugh
