An unidentified man found dead in a gangway early Thursday died from
strangulation and blunt trauma to the head in a homicide, the Cook County
medical examiner's office determined today.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was declared dead at John H. Stroger Jr.
Hospital at 7:09 a.m. after being found in the 1100 block of North Pulaski Road.
The man died from strangulation, with blunt trauma to the head in an assault
a contributing factor.
The man was found in a gangway on Pulaski Road about 6:30 a.m, and detectives
were conducting a death investigation
