A man tried to lure a child into his vehicle last night in the Clearing neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
Few details were released, but police said that about 8:45 p.m. Friday, the man attempted to lure a 12-year-old child into his vehicle on the 6300 block of South New England Avenue. Police did not say if the minor was a boy or a girl.
The alert describes the man as white and about 38-43 years old, with short black hair and a light complexion. No clothing description was available, but he was called clean-cut and had a deep voice.
His vehicle was described as a gray, late-model 4-door sedan, with lightly tinted windows.
