Four men were shot and taken to hospitals tonight in the West Englewood neighborhood.
The shooting occurred in the 5900 block of South Wood StreetDepartment.
One man shot in the torso or abdomen was taken in serious-to-critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, while another man was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Holy Cross Hospital.
The condition of the victim at Holy Cross had stabilized.
Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez said two additional victims, both men, were shot during the incident but got to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County on their own. Their conditions were not known immediately
