Three men were shot, one fatally, in the South Chicago neighborhood this afternoon.
A man was declared dead at the scene following the shooting about 4:35 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Kingston Avenue.
He was believed to be 20 years old and had been shot in the back.
Two other men were both taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in fair-to-serious condition. One, age 26, was shot in the right wrist, and another, age 28, was shot in the upper left leg.
The three were standing in the street on Kingston Avenue when a green Chevrolet car pulled up, and at least one person in the car started shooting, hitting the three, then drove off
Carl Austin, 20, had been shot in the back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

I was just over there dropping a friend off. He lives right next door where it happened. There is a memorial in front of the house it took place at. Very sad...that area just gets worse and worse
