Man struck, killed by Amtrak train on South Side

A 60-year-old man was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in the West Pullman neighborhood Sunday evening.
The man was struck near the intersection of 116th and South State Street.
He was pronunced dead on the scene at 6:33 p.m..
Police said the death was being investigated as a suicide.
