Man shot dead in Chatham

In the Chatham neighborhood, a man died after being shot at a Harold's Chicken Shack about 6:15 p.m.
Shots rang out from outside the restaurant, which is located in the 400 block of East 79th Street.
A 19-year-old man inside the restaurant was struck multiple times and taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital at 7:02 p.m
The medical examiner's office identified him as Brandon Byars, of the 7800 block of South Eberhart Avenue.
