Three people are being questioned about the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy as he walked out of a store with two teenaged girls in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the West Side.
Michael Orozco had just left the store at the corner of 23rd Place and
Leavitt Street around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when a light green van passed, stopped
and backed up. A gunman jumped out and fired at
the three teens, then got back in and the van sped away.
Orozco was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at
