A 32-year-old man was hospitalized this morning after being shot in the leg on a
West Side sidewalk.
The victim was standing on a sidewalk near a nightclub about 3:30 a.m. in the
3200 block of West Lake Street in the East Garfield Park neighborhood when he
heard shots. The man was hit in the right thigh and was taken by an
unknown friend to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized.
