Shortly after 2 a.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the back of his head while he was a passenger in the back seat of a car on the city's South Side.
That shooting happened on the 2700 block of East 84th Street in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The man was riding in the car when the passengers heard gunfire, turned around and saw the rear window had been shattered. They realized the victim had been shot in his head.
They drove the man to Advocate Trinity Hospital where he was listed in critical condition with a wound to the back of his head
