A Cook County Jail inmate being held in a domestic battery case is now charged
with seeking to have his girlfriend and three of her children killed.
Andrew Thomas, 18, of Chicago was given a $2
million bail when he appeared in court today on charges of solicitation of
murder and solicitation of murder for hire.
Thomas, who was being held on
charges related to an aggravated domestic battery case involving his girlfriend,
offered $3,000 for her murder and another $1,000 for her three children, if they
interfered with the plan. The children range in age
from 2 to 4 years old.
A fourth child, the only one fathered by Thomas,
was not to be harmed in the attack. Thomas wanted the slaying
completed before his next court date in the battery case, set for Dec. 3, 2012.
According to the sheriff's office, his record shows nine Class X
felony arrests.
