A 16-year-old girl was fatally shot Monday night in the Roseland neighborhood on the South Side.
The Cook County medical examiner's office identified her as Taylor Fitting of
the 1900 block of South Winchester Avenue.
The shooting happened at about 9:25 p.m. near the 11200 block of South Normal
A private party took Fitting to Roseland Community Hospital in critical condition
with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
She was transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she
was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m.
