Car strikes utility pole on Damen, killing one

A motorist was killed this morning when a vehicle struck a light pole on South Damen Avenue in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood.
The crash occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of South Damen.
One of the vehicle's occupants was dead on arrival, and two occupants were in good-to-fair condition but left without being transported to the hospital
