A man was killed and his brother was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash
early this morning in the city's Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West
Side.
The crash happened about 5:35 a.m. on the 3500 block of West Division Street.
According to preliminary reports, the two brothers were on their way to pick
up a third brother from work when they were struck by another vehicle.
The driver, 24, was killed and his brother, 21, suffered multiple injuries to
his body. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle, who was suspected of driving under the
influence, was taken into police custody. Charges were pending.
