One man was killed and a second man wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in
the Roseland neighborhood on the city's Far South Side.
The shooting happened in the 11400 block of South Yale Avenue at about 5
p.m..
Authorities said a gunman opened fire on two
men, striking one in the chest and the other man in the shoulder.
Someone drove the man wounded in the chest identified as Marvin McFerren, 43, to nearby Roseland Community
Hospital before he was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was
pronounced dead.
The second victim was also
taken to Mount Sinai where his condition was stabilized
