Man dies in gunfight in South Side alley- forget Ceasfire send us Wyatt Earp
A man in his 20s died in a gun battle with several others in an alley in the Park
Manor neighborhood on the South Side.
Grand Crossing District officers and paramedics found Travon Watkins, 23, in
the 6800 block of South Calumet Avenue at about 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, police
said.
Watkins, of the 6900 block of South Martin Luther King Drive, was pronounced
dead at the scene.
A witness told police that Watkins had exchanged gunfire with several men. Officers found a TEC-9 pistol underneath Watkins' body and

Initially, Ceasefire used some well intended men and women to launch their initiative, but recently replaced their staff with hardened criminal chiefs. Two of the largest recipients of these funds are the Latin Kings and Two Six on 26th street. Both, groups have members hired by ceasefire. One group invests money on clothing ventures and the proceeds go straight to chief. The same chief that puts kids on security for the miqueros (fake green card vendors) at the supermall with out kicking them any profits. The other, an active gang member, who goes around terrorizing people in the community using brute force, for personal gain. Taking funeral donations from gang members and splurging at will. I dont know what their goals are, but cleaning up with these wolves is a joke.
It's time to wall the bad areas off and let the chimpanzees kill each other, then mop up the stragglers.
