A 23-year-old man was killed in the Cragin neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest
Side late Thursday night.
The man sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Advocate
Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
The man was walking on Lamon Avenue north of Armitage Avenue when someone
inside a dark SUV fired multiple shots, hitting him.
The man, identified as Jose Melendez of the 4800 block of West Cortland Street
